What is a Doula?
A doula is a trained birth professional who understands the birthing process and has confidence in a woman’s ability to give birth. She provides continuous physical, emotional, and informational support to a mother before, during and just after birth.
Partners and Doulas
It is not my job to replace your partner but to instead help to enhance their role in your birth. Having a doula at your birth will take some of the pressure off of them so that they can focus more of their energy on supporting you.
